Description
Equimax is a combination horse wormer, containing ivermectin and praziquantel, for the treatment and control of important internal parasites, including roundworms, bots and all three species of tapeworm.
Why use Equimax?
- Equimax easy-to-use syringes are designed to treat up to 700kg bodyweight (more than most other wormers).
- Equimax combines ivermectin and praziquantel to treat roundworms, bots, pinworms and three species of tapeworms.
- Using Equimax in spring and autumn treats all of these parasites in a single dose, making worming more simple and cost effective whilst helping to reduce the risk of resistance.
What does Equimax treat?
Equimax Oral Gel, at the recommended dosage level, provides effective control of the following parasites of horses and ponies:
- Large Strongyles
- Small Strongyles (adults)
- Hairworms
- Pinworms
- Ascarids
- Intestinal Threadworms
- Large-mouth stomach worms
- Lungworms
- Neck threadworm
- Stomach bots
- Tapeworms
When should Equimax be used?
Equimax should be used in spring and autumn, alongside Eraquell in early and late summer and a treatment for encysted small redworms over the winter months, to provide a complete year round parasite control programme for all types of horses and ponies, including pregnant and lactating mares, and foals over two weeks of age.
